The Brightwing Society exists for one purpose: to encourage Christian artists as they adorn the dark for Christ.

Dear Everybody,

The Brightwing Society exists to cultivate, celebrate, and encourage Christian artists all over the globe.

It is home to artists and writers, certainly, but also chefs, poets, painters, musicians, woodworkers, gardeners, filmmakers, illustrators, photographers, and patrons of the arts. We believe that what we make — whether stories, songs, or meals around a table — can help re-teach a weary world how to hope.

We recognize that movements of beauty take time and seldom make headlines. For this reason The Brightwing Society commits itself to patient creativity, humble fellowship, and the cultivation of culture for Christ’s kingdom across the globe. The brightwing society manifesto

We believe that God made us in His image as makers (Gen. 1:27). We are created to create. The Brightwing Society exists to encourage Christian artists whose work participates in the long, multi-generational renewal of culture. We gather makers, patrons, and lovers of the arts into a global fellowship committed to crafting stories, songs, and works that bear the light of Christ.

We believe that small, faithful acts of making can kindle movements of lasting hope.

We walk quietly. We work steadfastly. We hope in Christ.

  • Members have to be 18 or older. Young members are welcome, but their parents must sign up for them.

  • The official number of members is unknown. The goal is neither prestige nor power, but quiet, faithful, small acts of shared encouragement in the work of adorning the dark.
